S J Marine was formed by Simon Houslander ( MaK senior engineer ) 10 years ago, after a 12 year relationship with MaK London. The reason for forming the company was to offer an improved more personal service and an alternative to the increasingly fixed corporate attitude that seems to be prevalent today.
Alongside Simon is, Danny Page, originally Parts & Service manager for MaK London, but more recently Service Manager for Finning MaK. In fact all the staff share the same enthusiasm and are mindful of our customers high service expectations. Between them they have a great deal of MaK experience and knowledge which along with an extensive contacts database is available to help solve your MaK requirements.

Service is at the very heart of our business and we offer our help and unique practical experiences to owners, superintendents or management companies. We have full marine liability insurance and charge for service in a straight forward manner. We are happy to quote for any size job and can offer;

Our workshop is equipped with many specialist tools, such as Chris marine grinding equipment, which being fully portable, can be used onboard as well. We have a reconditioning partner for specific welding and chrome plating work and can undertake any fuel injection repairs along with exchange fuel pumps for some engine types.
Our MaK tool range is extensive and we have a few adaptations of our own which can speed up certain repairs.
